Guided: a Socratic AI tutor
Guided is a Socratic AI tutor for students aged 13 and up, made in Berlin, Germany. Instead of giving away
answers, it asks the questions that build real understanding. It follows the German curriculum, starting with Berlin and Brandenburg, up to Abitur preparation.
Guided is a product of askGuided GmbH, Berlin. It has been running with pilot schools since September 2026;
the next pilot phase starts on 2 November 2026, and version 1.0 is planned for February 2027. During the
pilot, students join through their school with a school code, everyone else can join the waitlist. Guided
runs in the browser, with an iOS app in beta for pilot participants; an Android app is in development.
How it works
- Ask about any topic or homework problem.
- Guided replies with guiding questions, hints, and examples, not the finished solution.
- It checks your understanding step by step until you can solve it yourself.
Who it is for
Students from age 13 through German Abitur exam prep. Under 16, sign-up needs a parent's or guardian's
consent. Teachers can set Guided up for a whole classroom: create a classroom, share a code or QR code,
and optionally upload material. Free during the pilot.
Subjects
Focus subjects in the pilot: German, English (as a foreign language), maths, biology, chemistry and physics.
German and English are still in beta. Other subjects can be asked about, but Guided is not yet tailored to them.
Privacy
Accounts and learning data are processed in the EU (Frankfurt) under the GDPR. A pseudonymisation step
for AI processing is in development, and statistics only ever use anonymised data. There are no ads, your
data is never sold, and your content is not used to train AI models. Chats are private to your account.

Macht Guided einfach meine Hausaufgaben?
Nein.
